 Equality é uma série de fotografias tiradas do topo de um monumento em Lisboa.

O projeto quer que o observador se distancie do quotidiano e observe a vida de cima. Isso ajuda a refletir sobre o conceito de igualdade: nestas fotografias, os detalhes não são importantes, e as pessoas parecem quase ser as mesmas. Ironicamente, a partir de um rápido olhar, dificilmente se pode reconhecer a diferença entre uma imagem e outra.

Graças à edição, todos os elementos do fundo e do ambiente foram ocultados, melhorando assim os assuntos. A edição consiste numa variação de luz, contraste e exposição, mas nenhuma parte foi removida das versões originais.

Equality is a series of photographs shot from the top of a monument in Lisbon.

The project wants the observator to distance himself from the quotidianity and observe life from above. It helps to reflect on the concept of equality: in these pictures details are no important anymore, and the people look almost all the same. Ironically, from a quick glance, you can hardly recognize the difference from a picture to the other.

Thanks to the editing, every element of the background and the environment has been hidden, thus enhancing the subjects. The editing consists in a variation of light, contrast and exposure, but no part has been removed from the original versions.

A série de Jessica Sinigaglia “Equality” integrou a EXPOSIÇÃO_FOTOGRAFIA X’18, dos alunos finalistas da Licenciatura em Fotografia e Cultura Visual 2017/2018 do IADE-Universidade Europeia, que está patente na MUTE Gallery, na Rua Cecílio de Sousa n.º 20 C, em Lisboa, de 30 de novembro a 29 de dezembro de 2018.

Jessica Sinigaglia (1996, Biella,Italy) is a graphic designer based in Italy.

She studied Communication Design at Politecnico of Milan and spent six months studying at IADE in Lisbon with the Erasmus project. She graduated in July and is currently working in an advertising agency in Milan.
